










Energy Efficiency Breakdown for Stimulus Package
Of the $787 billion in spending and tax incentives, $16.8 billion as has been allocated to the Dept. of Energy to be distributed to the states on a per capita basis to support many energy conservation programs. The requirements for the states to receive this money has been much more clearly laid out compared to the TARP money received by banks. Other departments, such as Defense, Labor, and Housing and Urban Development, will receive billions more to upgrade their buildings with energy efficient enhancements.
